See\u00a0What version of Outlook do I have?\u00a0to get to the import instructions for your version of Outlook.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/d7f66ed3-9861-4521-b410-e86a58ab15a7.png\" alt=\"This is what the ribbon looks like in Outlook 2016.\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Open &amp; Export<\/b>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Import\/Export<\/b>. This starts the wizard!<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/f706c4d3-fc86-42f0-a96f-3bf5b2c71f39.png\" alt=\"To create your Outlook pst file, choose File, choose Open and Export, and then Import\/Export\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Import from another program or file<\/b>, and then choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Next<\/b>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/d6ff35ff-5d37-4f4c-a6da-c4f3e688f8ac.png\" alt=\"import and export wizard - import from another program or file\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Comma Separated Values<\/b>, and then choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Next<\/b>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/c72a8871-889a-4319-a348-33c0a319ccc1.png\" alt=\"Outlook Export Wizard - Choose CSV file\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In the\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Import a File<\/b>\u00a0box, browse to your contacts file, and then double-click to select it.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/173f91f2-9471-45ce-bdb0-1659252f9cec.png\" alt=\"Browse to the contacts csv file and choose how to handle duplicate contacts\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose one of the following to specify how you want Outlook to handle duplicate contacts:\n<ul>\n<li><b class=\"ocpUI\">Replace duplicates with items imported<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If a contact is already in Outlook and your contacts file, Outlook discards the info it has for that contact and uses the info from your contacts file. You should choose this option if the contact info in your contacts file is more complete or more current than the contact info in Outlook.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"ocpUI\">Allow duplicates to be created<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If a contact is in Outlook and your contacts file, Outlook creates duplicate contacts, one with the original Outlook info and one with the info imported from your contacts file. You can combine info for those people later to eliminate duplicate contacts. This is the default option.<\/li>\n<li><b class=\"ocpUI\">Do not import duplicate items<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If a contact is in Outlook and your contacts file, Outlook keeps the info it has for that contact and discards the info from your contacts file. You should choose this option if the contact info in Outlook is more complete or more current than the info in your contacts file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Next<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>In the\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Select a destination folder<\/b>\u00a0box, scroll to the top if needed and select the\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Contacts<\/b>\u00a0folder &gt;\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Next<\/b>. If you have multiple email accounts, choose the Contacts folder that&#8217;s under the email account you want to be associated with the contacts.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/c619ad8a-867c-4ce2-bcc6-174a7876367a.png\" alt=\"When you import Google Gmail contacts into your Office 365 mailbox, select Contacts as the destination\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0<b class=\"ocpUI\">Finish<\/b>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.content.office.net\/en-us\/media\/23ae1ddb-e0fb-4f99-8f27-61d6d2063ae9.png\" alt=\"When you import Gmail contacts to your Office 365 mailbox, click the Finish button to start the migration\" \/>Outlook begins importing your contacts immediately.
